Webinar: Finding Families: AdoptUSKids Photolisting Demo for Professionals
Public and private child welfare agencies that register with AdoptUSKids have access to almost 2,500 profiles of families who are homestudied and approved to adopt a child or sibling group from foster care. Caseworkers can find hundreds of potential matches for children on their caseloads by cross-matching their needs and preferences with those of registered families.
In 2015, AdoptUSKids rolled out enhancements to the family registration and family search processes that make it easier for registered caseworkers to find families for children. Family profiles now include additional information, such as specific conditions families will consider and the type of foster care training they attended.
The National Resource Center for Diligent Recruitment at AdoptUSKids offered this live demo to walk participants through the steps of using the family finding functions of the AdoptUSKids photolisting (requires logging in). The meeting included an overview of systems-level considerations to support agencies in using the tool effectively and time for questions and answers and discussion.
Program managers, supervisors, caseworkers working to recruit families for youth in care and caseworkers working with homestudied prospective adoptive families are encouraged to attend.
